Tipping point April 13, 2007

Posted by Matsu in News, News and politics.

Have you heard the latest news about Don Imus? Earlier this week NBC stopped broadcasting his radio show and now CBS has announced it has discontinued his television show. So, he is totally off the air.

In my reading about this matter I found this article by Kathleen Parker to be more balanced and level-headed than most of the rhetoric that been said or written since Imus said what he did about the female basketball players.

Maybe, just maybe, this will be the tipping point for civility and the next target for the more vocal activists will be the music industry. If not, then we must have a double standard about what is acceptable or not acceptable on the radio or television.
